How to look up a Texas laser hair removal facility licence

In Texas, laser hair removal facilities and the people who work in them are licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), under Health and Safety Code chapter 401, subchapter M. Physicians, and people working under a physician's delegation, are exempt from that licence, so a clinic run by a doctor may not show up in TDLR's records.

Look it up yourself

  1. Open the TDLR licence search.
  2. Choose Laser Hair Removal Facility as the licence type. For a technician, choose Laser Hair Removal Professions.
  3. Search by business name, city or licence number. The result shows the licence status and expiry date.

TDLR also publishes the full facility list as a downloadable file.

The TDLR licensed filter on this site

A Texas listing carries the TDLR licensed label only when its licence number, name and address come from TDLR's facility file, and its status in that file was current on the date shown on the listing. Each listing shows the licence number and expiry so you can look it up yourself. Licences change, so check TDLR before you book.
